Meet our Customer Advisory Board
Brian Cornell, Concord Hospitality Enterprises Company. I'm the chief information officer. Well, we operate well over 140 hotels across the United States and Canada, and we operate various styles of hotels— from select business hotels to full-service resort-style properties. And so with that, we have a myriad of customers and guests that we service on a daily basis.
Concord Hospitality’s Aptech Solutions
So currently, right now, we're using PVNG and we are also using Execuvue.
What challenges did you face prior to partnering with Aptech?
Well, we've been using Aptech products for 26 years. So we were searching 26 years ago for a back office centralized accounting product, but we're also searching for something that would help us with automated reporting, roll-up reporting, comprehensive data analytics, and one of our early attractors was the Execuvue product back at that day. That was the biggest stuff differentiated between Aptech and the other products that we were looking at.
Concord’s experience implementing solutions
So we had a very easy, really rollout and adoption of the, it was back then it was Profitvue, so it was prior to PVNG. We've been a customer for that long, but our adoption of the product was very smooth. We waited some time before we added on the Execuvue product. We needed our data repository to build up so that we had actual data to mine in the solution.
How is it working with the Aptech Team?
So I've had my experiences— have always been positive. They've been positive on a sales perspective. Responsive, comprehensive, always willing to provide demos, assistance, and support. Recently, just said this previously, was even though Aptech’s been a family-run business, they've always provided kind of family levels type of support. So as their customers, we've always kind of felt like we're part of their family. They've been a very service-focused organization and have been great in their follow-up.
What separates Aptech from the rest of the industry?
Definitely PVNG. So Aptech’s invested a lot of effort in the development of that product. It's a very intuitive and easy product to use.
Concord’s experience training new employees
We have people that, you know, people with an accounting background. immediately can navigate and utilize the product and others they can be trained really within half a day or less.
Concord’s experience working with the Aptech support team?
Oh, it's been excellent. We kind of feel it because we know everybody. We're always speaking. When we call, people answer. They're responsive. We can log tickets in through the portal if we so choose, but oftentimes the phone call is easier because we know that they answer the phone and they solve our problems.
Final Thoughts
Aptech, I mean, we've been with the company for 26 years for good reasons. I mean, we do competitively shop Aptech, which helps keep everybody honest. It also keeps our eyes open to other products in the field in that line of business. However, we've been the customer of Aptech for 26 years for good reasons.
