Meet our Customer Advisory Board

My name is Mark Pate and I am the controller for HFTP, which is hospitality, financial and technology professionals. We're not the typical Aptech customer because we are a member association. So our members are club people, hotel people. We have casino, a lot of education is our typical client.

Which Aptech products do you use?

Right now we use the PVNG, Profitvue Next Generation, which is the back office accounting system, and the Execuvue, which is their business intelligence tool.

What challenges did you face prior to partnering with Aptech?

I'm very new to HFTP, just be a year this coming June, and their big problem was their back office accounting they were using Great Planes, and it hadn't been updated for almost 10 years, and they were running it on a virtual private network, so there's a lot of access problems getting to the history updates hadn't been done, so they couldn't do a lot of functionality that was pretty normal in back office accounting systems was their biggest challenge, and one of the reasons they brought me in as controller to fix that problem.

How has Aptech helped you solve business challenges?

I can, in fact, we use a CRM tool called Salesforce, and the updating on it was not done, was done, like a month later. So one of the first problems that Aptech solved for us was to be able to get a daily feed from Salesforce, so we're able to create or record all of our revenues on a daily basis, which had never been done. Just be able to get more up to date on the financial statements to see where they were at any given point in in the month,

What’s the best part about working with the Aptech team?

Hands down, is their customer service. In fact, we're attending kind of a Advisory Council, and it just kept coming up this morning. The sessions that you call, and you get a live person, and you get to talk with them, and it probably come up in later questions, but there's never been anything I've asked of Aptech that they didn't say, You know, we've never done that. Give us a few days. Let us take a look and see if we can solve that problem for you. And most every time they can, and that's you just don't get that a lot in the industry, you know, there's a set form, and if you deviate from our forum, sorry, we can't do that, there's no discussion or anything like that. You never get that from Aptech.

Closing Thoughts

which is the products are outstanding. They're cloud based, and so we love that, especially during covid, our organization actually got rid of their office building, and so everyone is 100% remote. So having these cloud applications where we don't have to worry about a physical server, a network, Internet access or anything like that, and all their products work with that. In fact, we're hoping to get back to their budgeting and forecasting tool, and then will again be part of the trifecta, all three of their outstanding products.
